Blackbeards life and death

Blackbeard 1680 – 1718

Blackbeard is known now because he is shown in films such as pirates of the caribbean. However, the real Blackbeard is much different. He was born in 1680 having the name Edward Teach or Thatch. He started off being a privateer and robbing for the king but soon he got fed up working for the monarch. Blackbeard started off being a pirate in 1717 and robbed 7.5 million pounds of treasure. Although in 1718 lieutenant Maynard of HMS Pearl was sent to hunt Blackbeard down. In the battle Maynard killed Blackbeard in a hand to hand fight. Maynard cut Blackbeards head off and stuck it on the mast of his ship. So that is the end of blackbeards life.

Science Experiment Day

Science experiment on Henry’s sick day after he injured himself coming out of school the day before.
We make a science experiment using a plastic bottle, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.
100ml vinegar
30ml boiling water to warm up the vinegar for quicker reaction.
2 teaspoons bicarb wrapped in tissue for slow release.

Kirkland water bottle. We diddnt think this was gonna blow as the bottle lid was well sealed and the bottle was under such pressure, thats why we were standing on it to try to force it to pop. We could actually see the lid bowed out, you couldent physically squeeze the bottle. It took both our weight on it, over 100kgs and it still diddnt pop. Finally went off after about 5mins when Henry persisted by standing on it again. The pop was VERY loud. Theres no audio unfortunately.

Today I went bezerk when my Dad tried to teach me maths again. I ran to my Mum cause she usually does it for me.

My teacher Mr A…….AKA Mr Armstrong……sent me a text to say how excellent my recent homework was. Maybe my Dad is of some help after all.
